Chamber announces Open House to kick off Shop Local Event

Staff Writer

The Pushmataha County Chamber of Commerce will host an Open House on November 17th from 6-8 p.m. This will be their annual meeting and will be a "come and go" event, with social distancing encouraged and safety protocols in place. There will have refreshments and the Chamber will give a re-cap of the past year, along with plans for the upcoming year.
This Open House will also kick off their "Shop Local" campaign for the holiday season. Boxes will be placed at local member businesses that day and shoppers are encouraged to patronize those businesses for all of their Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping needs. Winners can win cash back for the amount of their purchases, through December 18th, up to $500.00.
If any of the Chamber of Commerce member businesses would like to set up a table that evening to display any of your information, flyers, products or merchandise, please call the Chamber and let them know.
"We hope you all come out, support the Chamber, enjoy the evening and help us kick off the Holiday Season," Harolynn Woffard, Chamber President.
The Dates of the Shop Local Event are from November 17th through December 18th. Place your original receipt in the container at the Chamber member's business. Purchases must be made during the event dates. Write your name, address and phone number on the receipt. If all of the information is not legible and on the original receipt, the entry will be ineligible. If you need a copy of your receipt, please make one for your records before placing the original into the boxes. Also, the name of the business must be clearly reflected on the receipt and they must be a current Chamber member.
Reimbursement will be made for the amount on the receipt, with a maximum reimbursement of $500. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes. Decisions of the Chamber board will be final. Drawing will be held shortly after December 18th and winners will receive checks from the Chamber in the mail. Any violations or no compliance with the rules will make you ineligible.
